Biography

Born in Bahía Blanca, Argentina, 1974
Self-taught painter since the age of ten. Begins his training at the Technical Education School No. 1 and continues his studies at the Martín A. Malharro Visual Arts School (Mar del Plata) and the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design at the National University of Mar del Plata.

2000
Moves to Buenos Aires and dedicates himself exclusively to the visual arts.

2003-2004
Participates in contemporary art clinics conducted by artist Tulio de Sagastizábal.

2009
Presents his solo exhibition "Persistente conjunto" at Zavaleta Lab Contemporary Art (Buenos Aires).
Also holds a solo exhibition at the Recoleta Cultural Center and a mural intervention at the Centro Cultural de España, both in Buenos Aires.
Receives a subsidy in Visual Arts from the Creator Line of the Metropolitan Fund for Culture, Arts, and Sciences of the Buenos Aires City Government.

2010
Invited to create a mural intervention at Ciudad Cultural Konex (Buenos Aires) and commissioned by Red Gallery to do two mural interventions in the Carlos Pellegrini building in Buenos Aires.
Participates in the contemporary art space of the PROA Foundation as part of the RAM exhibition, where he creates his first mural intervention from the "Dynamic Constructions" series.
Selected through the British Council to be part of the Rivers of the World project in Argentina.

2011
Along with Red Gallery, creates a mural intervention during the twentieth edition of arteBA fair and participates in the SITE SPECIFIC Drawing exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires.

2012
Presents his solo exhibitions "Acción en movimiento" (Zavaleta Lab Contemporary Art) and "Elementos. Construcción dinámica N 15-12" (Borges Cultural Center), both in Buenos Aires.
Participates in the "Geometric Today" exhibition (UADE/MACBA, Buenos Aires) and "New Trends II" (Museum of Modern Art, Buenos Aires).
The Museum of Contemporary Art in Buenos Aires (MACBA) incorporates his work into its permanent collection.
Invited by the Buenos Aires City Government to exhibit at PINTA, The Modern and Contemporary Latin American Art Show in New York, and selected for the inaugural exhibition of the Contemporary Space of the National Museum of Fine Arts (Buenos Aires).

March 2013
Inaugurates "Dynamic Constructions," a solo exhibition at BOSI Contemporary, New York.

2015
Begins the year with a solo exhibition at Puerta Roja Contemporary Art, Hong Kong.
In Buenos Aires, opens his solo exhibition at Zavaleta Lab Contemporary Art and participates in the "Cruzando la línea" exhibition at the ICBC Foundation.
Creates "Cosmorama, 2009/2015," a site-specific work covering the entire Belgrano Station of the E subway line.

2016
Starts the year with his solo exhibition "La resonancia interior" in Room C of the Recoleta Cultural Center, one of the most important venues in Buenos Aires.
At Tecnópolis—Latin America's largest science, art, and technology theme park—he presents "Partitura para exterior N 27/16," a labyrinth thirty meters in diameter and seven meters high for exploration.
Also participates in "Ensayo general N13" and "Diagonal Sur, Argentine Art Today" at the Borges Cultural Center, "Sensorial Geometries" at Puerta Roja Contemporary Art (Hong Kong), and fairs KIAF (Seoul) and ArtTo (Toronto).

2017
Integrates "¿Quién está dónde? Who Is Where?" an art exhibition and residency in Basel, Switzerland.
Inaugurates "Mirando el mar," a solo exhibition at 488 Gallery (La Boca, Buenos Aires), and is invited to be part of ColorBA, a public space urban art festival organized by the Buenos Aires City Government.

2018
Participates in "Movement," a group exhibition at Puerta Roja Contemporary Art, Hong Kong.
That same year, publishes "Ferrante," his first book that covers his artistic production from 2004 to 2018.

2019
Presents his solo exhibition "New Work" at Art Projects International, New York.
Also participates in several group exhibitions, such as "Summer Selections" at Art Projects International, "Vértigo, Geometry, and Instability" at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Buenos Aires (MACBA), and "Visions in Motion" at Puerta Roja, Hong Kong.
Creates the site-specific work "Transformations N1/2019" at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church Day School, New York.

2020
Holds the solo exhibition "Estudios" at Art Projects International, New York, and carries out two site-specific projects: "Polyphony of Four Colors," commissioned by the Buenos Aires City Government and presented at the Chamber Hall, Usina del Arte, Buenos Aires; and the installation "Forum Aventura" in Aventura, Miami.

2021
Presents the solo exhibition "Monocromo" at Art Projects International, New York.
Also participates in the collective exhibition "Neo Post – 50 Years of Geometric Painting in Argentina 1970-2020" at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Buenos Aires (MACBA) and creates the site-specific project "Monochromy in Four Colors No. 2" at the Cultural Center of Córdoba, Córdoba, Argentina.

2022
Exhibits individually "Partituras" at Art Projects International and participates in the collective exhibition "Color as Space" in the same space.

2023
Participates in two collective exhibitions: "3x3, Lee, Tsao, Ferrante" and "30 Years: Art Projects International," both at Art Projects International, New York.
Also creates the site-specific work "Evoluciones, Construcción dinámica N° 16/23" at the National Museum of Fine Arts, Buenos Aires.

2024
Presents the solo exhibition "Grand Prix" at Smol, Cámara de Proyectos, Buenos Aires.
Additionally, is part of "Summer Selections" at Art Projects International, New York, and completes the site-specific work "Otro espacio aparece Nº 4C/24" at NYU Langone New Center, New York.

2025

Presents the dual exhibition "Geometría y Cuerpo" at Lyle O’ Reitzel arte Contemporáneo, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
